Gratitude.

August the 3rd 2015.

today is the first day of the week.
August the 3rd 2015.
I intend to do:

1. Spring clean my messy room
- get rid of the mountainous pile of junk I've
been collecting since 2006?
(thats when I moved back in)

2. Clean my washroom

3. Do my portfolio (5 hours per day)

4. Gym?
- I still hurt from Saturday.

What I did do do far

1. Binge watch Parks & Recreation Season 7
(Which was amazing I might add, finished the whole season)
Felt sad after that

2. Lie on bed

3. Eat
(Brekkie, Chocs, Lunch, Chocs)

Boy asked me to do planks and even created a song for me
with the same tune as 'If you're happy & you know it' - Lame

4. Started this blog.
With the intention of thanking my parents of
the life I have so far...

And here goes.

Thank you Dad & Mom.

As I was cleaning up the mess that was in my cupboards, I found a stack of papers, miscellaneous papers I found dated back 2009, 2010 and 2011 way back when I finished High school and started on my Pre U.
these papers consists of past exam papers, exam notes which I did on my own.

I remembered everything like it happened yesterday.

I had great ambitions to be a dentist. but I had not the grades, not enough
determination & not enough grace to get me the grades to get me into Dental School.

I did not score a scholarship after SPM to my dismay. As I did not achieve straight As for SPM.

(the final High School exam)

I remember asking my dad to enrol me into the most expensive private college in the Klang Valley; Taylors College. Where I did the South Australian Matriculation programme with dreams to pursue my studies to Australia one day. I was in science stream; I took English, Math, Physics, Chem & Bio. I was an average student in high school, my grades were mostly A, B & Cs. But once I stepped into college, my priority was to have fun whilst studying, and with all the different people I met, I found myself doing other things other than focusing on my studies, I became a weak student back then with each internal exam I found out that I was borderline passing. Except for English which I was acing I was in SAM for 3 months blessed with classmates that I remember till today. One of my friend wanted to switch to A Levels because he wanted to do more humanities instead of the sciences, without much thought and much research about the A Levels program I jumped in eyes closed and head in to the deep end of the sea not knowing what to expect. My dad thought it was for the best as they thought I could and would work hard like how I would normally would at every major exam.

My biggest regret is switching to A Levels.

My dad had to fork out an additional 5 figure sum of money in order for me to continue.
The fees, the different books the different additional fees for exam.
Not to mention the extra pocket money per week my parents for
out as eating around Hartamas isn't cheap, unless you go for mixed rice everyday.
And I did not shine through.
I was playful and I did not take my studies seriously.

I only can regret so much.

A levels had two major exams; one AS and one A2.
The latter tougher than the other.
As much as I tried to buck up 1-2months before the big exam days and weeks.
I failed yet again. I had to resit my previous papers as they were not too good.
More money was spent when I took external Chemistry tuitions and
yes those helped a great deal in helping me understand but I wished
I had started earlier as well for my other subjects.
I have to also add that I should've studied in an environment harsher
than Hartamas which made me feel comfortable and relaxed.
But end of the day I do not have any one else to blame but my own silly self.
I won't blame the programme for being 'short' but I blame myself for not
being serious with my work.
Yes I have learnt so much from the classes I went for.
I have learnt a great deal in Maths, Chem & Physics.
But I am disappointed in myself for not being able to at least score above
average so that it would get me into a better University to further my tertiary studies.

Today it has been a solid 7 years since 2009 and I have not forgotten this incident. I wanted to pen it down today because there are days where I have been an ungrateful spoilt brat to my parents, I have raised my voice at them and there are some days I felt that they neglect me and do not love me enough.

Therefore, this incident is for me to remember that my parents
will give their all for me to see me succeed in life.

I am truly blessed to have wonderful parents.
And somedays I hope they know I am deeply thankful, grateful.

I also thank God for granting me grace to go through Architecture school.

Thank God I passed everything with flying colours.
I hope I have made my parents proud in doing such.
Thank you dad & mum for giving me the opportunity to study.

Now to seriously start on that spring clean.
